We Support

Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation offers grants in 3 key focus areas – health (Cancer Care, Tobacco Control, and Palliative Care), education, and livelihoods. We encourage proposals from organizations that act as change agents through innovation, capacity building, and sustainability. We believe in supporting long-term projects and building partnerships.

Grants

Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation prioritizes projects at rural or urban locations that have a component of capacity building with a plan on scalability, also engaging stakeholders within the community and government institutions. We also support intervention research projects that have a complete project implementation plan. We also engage in commissioning specific research and evaluation studies with our grantees. Grant approvals are based mainly on the credibility of the proposal and the implementing organization. Our geographical preferences for project implementation are districts within Maharashtra and locations within the Mumbai-Metropolitan.

Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation NGO Grants and Individual Awards

As part of its commitment to cancer prevention and tobacco control, the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation instituted the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation NGO Grants & Individual Awards in 2009-2010 in collaboration with the Salaam Mumbai Foundation.

While the award encourages the individuals to continue the good work, the NGO grants focus on working towards the implementation of a Tobacco-Free school programme in their respective Districts. The capacity-building process done by the Salaam Mumbai Foundation and learning from inter-state activities have led the recipients of the awards and grants to step up in the expansion of their works in the field of tobacco control and ensure the sustainability of the same.
