Municipal Eye Hospital, Byculla (Rotary Club)

Issue

Due to the lower standard of living, it is not possible for the people of the lower wages to pay heed to eye care. It is difficult for them to even go for a regular eye checkup, surgeries are not even on the radar. It is important that these services are available for people with low incomes.

Project

The Municipal Eye Hospital conducts 350 eye checkups and 300 cataract surgeries every month. The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation supported the Municipal Eye Hospital in Byculla to upgrade their Operation Theatre. The Foundation also provided equipments such as Scan Biometer with Immersion Kit, Motorised OT Table, Phaco Emulsifycation Unit, Autorefractometer and Keratometer.
